- Congregational Communications – In order to keep members of
the congregation better informed of “what’s
happening” at the monthly Council meetings, a 3-ring binder
containing the meeting minutes is available in the narthex.
Monthly meetings are the second Tuesday, at 6:30 pm, and anyone is
invited to attend!
Estimate
of Giving Update: Forty-one individuals or families, traditional givers
and simply giving, have returned Estimate of Giving Cards for 2009.
Including an additional 12 Simply giving members, $96,348 has been
pledged to Trinity Lutheran as of Oct. 31. Thank you to all who have
completed pledges. Members can complete Estimate of Giving cards at any
time and return them in the offering plate or to the office; these
cards help you plan your giving and help Trinity plan for 2009 and
beyond. Thank you for being Stewards of God’s
gift’s to us. Stewardship Ministry Team
We are now supporting Rebecca
Duerst, missionary in Namibia, Africa, from New Richmond, WI, in the
amount of $1000 minimum/year. To learn more about Rebecca and
her work, please see information posted in narthex.

Youth
and Education
The order form for
DAILY TEXTS 2009 has come in if anyone is interested. You can order
online at www.DailyText.com, or stop in the Church
office.
Confirmation Class now meets from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Youth in
grades 6, 7 & 8 are invited to attend on Wednesday nights from
now until springtime in the Fellowship Hall. This week we are studying
the Lord’s Prayer. For more info, call the church

Trinity Lutheran
Church will be offering Adult Education Classes. A
Study of Martin Luther, The Reformation & Luthers Writings.
Cost of materials is $10.00. From
January through May, 2009 (except Lent & Easter) a
BIBLICAL OVERVIEW using The Divine Drama Biblical Narrative will be
used. We will again study through the entire Bible, using visuals to
see and understand the Bibles big picture. If you already have this
book (1st book, Units 1-16) from Bible Study 2 years ago, there is no
charge. If you need the book, the cost is $20.00. Classes are held on
Thursdays from 9:15am-10:30am and are repeated on Sundays from
8:20am-9:30am. Registration
forms need to be in to the Church office Attn: Jody Anderson, and can
be found on the Welcome Center or by calling the church office.
“Souper” Scripture Study: The book of Genesis.
There’s still room for you at our table on Wednesday evenings
5:30-7pm. Join us for food, fellowship and Bible
Study. Contact the church office for more

home-cooked meals, relationships and the Word.

for Hunger – Donations made today to the Food Pantry will be
matched 50% by the organization Buckets for Hunger. Please

FIFTH
SUNDAY POTLUCK DINNER!!
Sunday, November 30, immediately following the 10AM worship service in
the Fellowship Hall. Bring a dish to pass. Beverages, plates,
silverware, and glasses will be provided. Come join us for some good
fellowship and great food!
The Food Pantry will be
open on December 1 from 1:30-4:30 pm and is located in the lower level
of the Senior Center.
The Birchwood
Christian Women’s Fellowship have a Holiday Luncheon at
Return to Woodlands on Tuesday, December 2, beginning at
noon. Bring your spouse or friend. You must call
Carol Addington @ 354-3154 before Thanksgiving for a
reservation. The cost of the luncheon will be $15.00 and an
item for the Food Pantry. All interested men and women are
invited.
The congregation of
Barronett
Lutheran will be hosting their Fourth Annual Scandinavian Smorgasbord
at the Barronett Community Center on Saturday, December 6 @ 4PM.
Trinity
Lutheran Church’s Christmas Cantata rehearsals have begun! We
will meet every Wed. from 8-9pm in the Sanctuary. This year’s
choice, “Behold that Star,” is written by Sally
Albrecht & Jay Althouse and is in more of an upbeat,
contemporary style. All singers are encouraged to join us for
this unique, seasonal cantata to be performed December 14!
HARMONETTE CHRISTMAS
COFFEE CONCERT on Sunday, Dec. 14 @ 2;00 PM in the Birchwood High
School commons area. Free admission, donations are welcome.
Coffee, punch, and lots of Christmas goodies served along with songs of
the season.
The Lakeview Medical Center Auxiliary will have their Love Light Trees
in front of the Hospital again this year. The tree-lighting ceremony is
on Monday, December 1 @ 4:30 p.m. with refreshments beforehand. More
information is located on the Welcome Center.

Ambulance Service needs you!! Must be 18 years old and be EMT certified
or willing to take the EMT training that starts in late September.

Home Meal Deliverers
are desperately needed by the Birchwood Senior Center. If you
can help with delivering meals even one day a week, please call
Florence Evitch at 354-3001. Meal Deliverers need to be
available from 9 am - noon. The Food Pantry will also be open on Sept 1
(Labor Day) and is located in the lower level of the Senior Center.

registered nurse at work, at rest or retired with a
current license who might consider lending your special talent to the
community as a Parish Nurse? The Birchwood Parish Nurse Project would
be delighted to have you join our community staff. For detailed
